Is your music licensed?

All music played on Mixhits Radio is licensed by ASCAP, BMI, SESAC, GMR, and SoundExchange. All royalties are paid by Mixhits Radio for the music we provide. If you use another source such as a CD, iPod, or TV sound you will need to obtain your own licenses.

Why can't I just play the Radio?

Licensing commercial music ensures that artists and copyright holders are properly compensated, intellectual property rights are respected, and businesses operate within the legal framework of copyright laws.

How much bandwidth does your stream use?

To assure you get excellent sound quality in your business we stream our music at 128 kbps. This small amount of bandwidth will have no significant impact on your internet service.

Copyright protection

Commercial music is protected by copyright laws, which grant exclusive rights to the creators of the music. Licensing ensures that the original artists, songwriters, and copyright holders receive compensation for the use of their work.

Can I install the player myself?

Most Mixhits Music customers self-install their player. Simply plug it into your internet router and plug in the provided audio cable to an AUX input on your amplifier to start enjoying the great selection of music. No tools are needed to install and all cables are included with your iStream.

Is the music friendly?

At Mixhits Radio we screen each song for inappropriate words and language. We play the same edit that you hear on your favorite radio stations. We also go above and beyond and remove additional verses from songs if we feel the radio edit doesn’t do enough to mask the language.

Do I need to sign a long term contract?

A contract is not required when you sign up for streaming service . Simply purchase the Media Player and pick either monthly, quarterly or annual billing for the streaming service fee.
